What a file service is and how it works with a slave tool

A workshop that wants to offer ECU tuning doesn't need its own software developer. All it needs is a tool to read and write control units and a reliable file service that prepares the modified file.

How it works

  • The workshop reads the ECU with its Magic Motorsport FLEX slave via OBD or on the bench.
  • It uploads the file to our portal together with the vehicle details and the requested tune.
  • During business hours we prepare modified software tailored to that engine, usually within 40 minutes.
  • The workshop downloads the file, writes it to the vehicle and hands the car back to the customer.
